Nestldown-Los Gatos Mountains
Nestldown is an incredible venue in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Every-time we film here, we feel privileged to have this opportunity. They offer a redwood grove or pond facing ceremony(redwood grove in in this video), and then an indoor or outdoor reception(depending on the seasons). There is a bridal cottage on site for the bridal prep and most the time the guys get ready in the barn. They spend quite a bit of time maintaining the property and it shows. Waterfall Lodge(Formerly Stones and Flowers) – FeltonÂ
A true redwood retreat wedding. This little piece of heaven is a secluded venue just outside of downtown Santa Cruz in a small town called Felton. Being a Santa Cruz Videographer here was really a great experience. The ceremony area, features beautiful stone work as well as a a circular stone wall to enclose the area. The reception area, can either be the barn or the outside lawn area. For this wedding, they chose the lawn area. This area provided some incredible lighting at the the sun set and gave us some nice diffused lighting for the toasts. After the reception, we headed into the barn for some cake and dancing. This area allowed us to set up a few lights and capture the nature ambience as the party went on into the night. Check out their website here. Chaminade –Â Santa Cruz
This was one of our first weddings that we brought a drone with us to get some Santa Cruz Aerial videography. We used this aerial cinematic footage to set the scene for the wedding at the Beautiful Chaminade in Santa Cruz. This Jewish wedding featured a lot of handmade details from the Bride including her shoes and table decorations. This wedding gave us the opportunity to harness our Santa Cruz wedding videographer skills, as we recommended we do this first look at New Brighton. Sure enough it worked fantastic. Seascape Resort – Aptos
If you are looking for some breathtaking coastal views at an awesome resort. This is your place! Although they don’t currently offer beach weddings, they offer weddings on the bluff overlooking the beach.Their multi story reception area is sure to impress your guests as it offers unprecedented views of Santa Cruz and surrounding Monterey Bay areas. Bridgewater Farm – Scotts Valley
This is a unique venue for a few reasons. It offers a nice shaded area for the ceremony and an open grassy area for the reception. Now let me explain. When we shot at this venue last time. It was over 100 degrees and the shade was great. However, once the afternoon rolled around, it cooled off and the open grassy area provided some incredible lighting for the reception. Sand Rock Farm – Aptos
This venue is tucked just off a main road but opens up into quite an expansive venue!. Located right off of Freedom Boulevard, this venue is easily accessible and has a bit of everything. From a bright reception area, to a shaded redwood grove for the Ceremony, this venue gives you a taste of what you might be looking for in a Santa Cruz Wedding. Seascape Golf Course – Aptos
This golf course venue has a lot to offer for being a smaller venue. It is a bit more on the affordable side, but don’t let that fool you. With breathtaking views on the 18th greenway and a large reception room, this venue is just as breathtaking as the others! Be sure to check out their website for more!
